I am Hartwell Davis - a writer, poet, minister, and business man - and in creating this site, I hope to be an amateur family historian. The Amerine, Davis, Mageors, and Wheats are only a small part of a very large family group that centers in East Texas and branches from East to West, North to South. My personal story is a testimony to God’s grace for a wild wayward youth that has in growing learned to love and value the importance of the family.
